| The
Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge has been designed in such
a way as to give the feeling, as well as the appearance of a single family
dwelling rather that an institiution.
Private and semi-private rooms are clustered to give a feeling of "hominess". Each cluster of rooms is decorated individually in order to provide residents with a sense of identity. Connecting the bedroom clusters are the communal dining and lounge areas. Windows in all areas are designed to provide an abundance of natural light and fresh air, as well as essential visual contact with the beautiful landscape surrounding the residence. |
